Stand up to cancer

I just watched the "stand up 2 cancer" charity show and god,i realised how horrible cancer does to people. It destroys peoples' lives, regarding of gender, age and race. It was mentioned that millions of dollars were spent on nuclear weapons and one would just wonder:" what if those money were spent on research for cancer? Can thousands, or millions of people's lives already been saved?"

Yesterday evening, i got a call from my uncle saying that my long-distant cousin was hit by a car while crossing the road near his house. Upon hearing that , i had goosebumps immediately. He's a year younger than me which means he's taking his "o" levels this year. How the hell is he going to be able to take the papers? To retake them next year?

I have a pretty fortunate family background.Even though my grandpa has a history of 2 strokes, he's still seemingly healthy with occasional high blood pressure. No-one else has other medical history nor died.

So, after watching the show and realising the pain that the patients have to go through, both psychologically and physically, the only thing i can do is hope that they'd all be fine.
